The crowd was not made up of the usual Kampala party animals.
This crowd was more reserved, more formal and more polished, but this did not spoil the party.
It was made up mainly of British bred executives, ladies and gentlemen who studied in England at one point in their life. The British Council that made their study in England possible was celebrating 70 years of existence worldwide on Friday. In Uganda the party was at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
It was a fun filled night with lots of drinks and memories to reminisce about.
Dr Sarah Ntiro shared her moments as a student at Oxford University in the 1950s. She narrated how she learnt to fit in, in different cultures and all the fun that she had while in Britian.
Ms Lydia Zawedde Mugambi a lecturer at Makerere University said she learnt all she knows while in Britain. She was appropriately wearing a dress a designed herself and said she had learnt all this art while in Britain.
